Hey Web Design Class- Here's the GamePlan

When planning a website, we must consider many things. Some of the questions we must ask are listed below along with sample answers for a private k-12 school site such as DCS.

Site type: private K-12 school
  1. Who is the target audience? parents, students, potential families
  2. How can I tailor the Web site to reach that audience? include content that appeals to specific audiences - educational information for parents, student life, athletics, fine arts, clubs for young people
  3. What are the goals for the site? inform current families, encourage potential families to enroll their children
  4. How will I gather the information? from all departments of the school
  5. What are my sources for rich media content, i.e. images? school photographer, yearbook staff, athletics photographer, FoxMar, etc.
  6. How often should the site be updated? weekly, as school events arise, seasonally for athletics schedules, as needed for fine arts events, summertime to announce summer camp and other seasonal events

Your assignment is to think through these same questions and provide the best answer you can for the following type of website. Look for your initials. Send in an email to ibfeebs@gmail.com by Thursday 11pm. :)
